Join the 2013 Earth Day Celebration at the JCC
Sunday, April 21, 2013 | 11:30 am-3 pm

On the heels of the incredibly successful 2012 JCC Earth Day Celebration, plans are underway for the 2013 event. Mark your calendar for Sunday, April 21, 2013, for the second annual JCC Earth Day Celebration.

This family-friendly, hands-on, “learn by doing” community event is designed to inspire good environmental stewardship and to reconnect people with nature. The JCC’s mission has always been to enhance the physical, social, emotional and spiritual health of the Indianapolis community. The JCC’s Earth Day Celebration fulfills this mission and more by promoting the health and well-being of our residents as well as our environment.

We are looking for volunteers, partnering organizations and sponsors.
If you would like to be involved—in any way—please contact Jon at
jshapiro@JCCindy.org or at ext. 2214.

Meet the Purdue University Solar Racing Team and check out their futuristic car powered by renewable energy at this FREE family-friendly event open to the entire community. Take part in a scavenger hunt, learn to identify subterranean critters, color a t-shirt, and make your own bird-feeder, art creation and terrarium from recycled materials. These are just some of the more than 50 activities you can take part in to learn about the wonders of nature and the simple actions you can do to protect our environment.

What’s a celebration without music, food trucks, vendors and opportunities to win prizes? There will be all that and more at the JCC’s Earth Day Community Celebration!
