A Word from the Director
Tennis thrives at the JCC with over 400 participants in our numerous programs for all ages and abilities. Contrary to what may be a popular belief, tennis really is for everyone. A perfect example can be found on Friday afternoons when on one court I am training member Anna Zimmerman, the nation’s top 45-over women’s player, while on the next court a group of 70+ year-old men are hitting balls. As soon as the men step off the court, our 10 & Under Play Day takes off with a group of six-year-olds serving and scoring on a 60’ court.

This diversity is a great testament to the wonderful nature of the game of tennis. And, it demonstrates how we strive to reach out to everyone interested in the game, including our wheel chair players, who we recently hosted in a tournament.

The JCC Tennis program is committed to the development of players of all ages and skill levels. The program—open to members and non-members—encourages tennis as a lifetime sport. Our professionals focus not only on skills and competition but also on the enjoyment that tennis provides.
