Members of participating Medicare health plans
receive a free,

complete membership at the JCC, where they can enjoy specialized

SilverSneakers classes taught by certified 
instructors that focus on

improving strength, flexibility, balance and coordination. Classes make use

of hand weights, elastic tubing, stability balls and a chair for seated or

Ongoing and open to all JCC and SilverSneakers members:

silversneakers yoga
Move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity. Suitable for those who want to avoid stress on joints; appropriate during pregnancy.

silversneakers classic
Utilizes a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated or standing support.
Tues/Thurs, 11 am-11:45 pm


 

silversneakers circuit
Focuses on short cardio segments and muscular strength using weights, bands and balls. A chair will be used for stretching and cool-down. Participants must be able to stand for 35 minutes.
Wed, 1-1:45 pm


 

total body
A strength-training class using hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball for resistance and a chair for seated or standing support. Participants must be able to stand for 35 minutes. Varies from low- to high-intensity.
