Rock Steady Boxing
Learn how boxing can reduce symptoms of parkinson’s disease
The JCC is honored to bring Rock Steady Boxing (RSB) to those with Parkinson’s Disease Level 1 and 2. Though it may seem surprising, this non-contact boxing-inspired fitness routine is dramatically improving the ability of people with Parkinson’s to live independent lives. Only for participants with a Parkinson’s diagnosis.

Made possible with generous support from Howald Heating, Air Conditioning and Plumbing and the Leonard and Marion Freeman Charitable Fund.

Indoor Power Cycling

Indoor cycling reaches a whole new level when you train on the JCC’s CycleOps machines. Certified trainers will push you further on the best power-measuring indoor cycles on the market. Plug a USB memory device into the console to record your ride data for analysis.

Kettlebell
We'll get back to basics with this functional whole-body fitness workout. Get a great workout in a relatively short period of time. Kettlebell training is accessible and practical for all, from the elite athlete looking for an edge to the sedentary person looking to discover fitness for the first time and everyone in between. A strength-training class using hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball for resistance and a chair for seated or standing support. Participants must be able to stand for 35 minutes. Varies from low- to high-intensity.

Specialty Yoga

Restorative Yoga for Stress Relief  |  75 min
Stressed? We’ll guide you to deep relaxation. By holding gentle poses for 7–10 minutes, you may be able to lower blood pressure and heart rate. Restorative yoga will leave you with an overall sense of calm and well-being.

Are you ready for a new challenge? Turn up the heat (up to 90°)! We’ll test your strength, stamina, flexibility and concentration with a dynamic flow of advanced
postures connected to breath.

Yoga Basics  |  60 min
Not so flexible? Warm room temp (around 80˚) allows your
muscles to stretch more readily. Use of props and instructor-guided modifications will let you ease into postures that are appropriate for your unique flexibility levels.

Synchronize breath with movement through an active sequence of sun salutations and postures. The continuous flow, with an emphasis on proper alignment, increases endurance and will help you find the edge of your balance and flexibility.
