Preventing Pests and Diseases
Is something else enjoying your harvest before you get to? Have you ever wondered which pests and diseases are most prevalent in our area? Together we’ll learn how to identify common insects, diseases and other garden pests. And once we can spot them, we’ll learn how to manage these problem- causers safely and organically.

When we moved into the house, Hannah (our 5 year old) had to have her own garden just like we had at the JCC. She took care of it all summer, didn't even get mad when the rabbits ate her lettuce. That was the best thing about having the garden at the JCC, she got into gardening at a very young age.
Hannah's line when the rabbits ate the lettuce was that "I planted it for nature, so it's ok the rabbits ate it."
